Last week the weather was generally mild for January. Temperatures rose into the 50’s and the days were mild and sunny. Then, Friday night a cold front moved in, the temperature dropped into the 20’s, a light snow covered the yard and the winds blew. It was a miserable weather day on Saturday. I put some food out for the birds and I had plenty of diners, but only this one cardinal.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
I have to admit, when I saw the theme for this week was “Shadows” there was just one song that came to mind “Me and My Shadow” but I really wanted to do something different. So, I headed to YouTube and did a search. I found this video that is not only a great piece of music, but a truly entertaining video. Have a blessed week.

I feed the birds during the winter but I let them find their own nourishment through spring and summer.

Pretty cardinal! The cardinal is the state bird of Illinois but I never saw one when I was living there. We get all kinds of them here.

I love electronic violin and this video in general with her “shadow” performing – I shared it. (Enjoyed your bird pictures, too). Where I live right now, the weather is awful. Winter has arrived!

We had a cardinal couple hanging around our house in PA – I miss those little cuties! I love that we chose the same Lindsey song – it’s such a great one! Thanks for the dance – hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! 🙂

Cardinals are wonderful birds. The couples hang out together all of the time. I like that in a relationship.
