Aww…Mondays
While Lucy is a ball of energy and loves walks around the neighborhood or playing fetch with her frisbee in the back yard, she can make taking a nap look soooo good.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
The saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers, so the theme for the first Monday Music Moves Me of of April is rain/showers. This theme could go in a multitude of directions so I think I will start on the inspirational side. There is an old hymn titled “Showers of Blessings.” This video is the most unique that I have ever seen. I can only imagine how long it took to place the choir and orchestra as well as keep everything dry enough to perform. I love this. enjoy.
Moving right along, who doesn’t like to get under the covers with the sound of rain on the roof. The promise of a great night of slumber or a much needed afternoon nap is enhanced by the sounds of a spring shower. I mean…who doesn’t love a rainy night.
Besides providing one of life’s essential elements rain can apparently hide one of our emotions. When you’re feeling blue and tears are rolling down your cheeks, just go outside and stand in the rain. No one will notice your tears “In the Rain”.
While The Dramatics were indeed dramatic, I still cling to the classic from the Everly Brothers. Nobody did it better, “Crying In The Rain”.
Miss Lucy is a huge Awww. She’s most photogenic too.
I love all your videos. You captured rain very nicely.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday, my friend. ๐

Having Lucy around makes it easy to participate in Aww Monday’s. I just have to keep the camera handy.

I love the snap-clap rhythm of “I love a rainy night.” And “In The Rain” is a great tune. Nice picks!

Rain by itself (not just April rains!) helped inspire so much good music. I melted into the Everly Brothers (my Mom even had a 78 of one of their songs, dating myself big time here) but I did love a rainy night when I was younger. Great melodies, nice set, cute dog! By the way, I don’t know if any other of your commenters have this problem, but I can’t leave a comment on your blog unless I sign out of comments and then back in. You’d think I would remember to do this, but each time catches me by surprise. this seems to be the only WordPress blog I seem to have this trouble with – oh well, it’s a minor thing.

Driller,
‘Showers of Blessings’ is a good old fashion hymnal sung in the church of my youth. What special memories it brings back after hearing it. ๐ Eddie Rabbit ‘I Love A Rainy Night’ is an excellent oldie! The Dramatics ‘In the Rain’ is new to my ears and I always liked the Everly Brothers beautiful harmonizing vocals. Thanks for sharing on the 4M dance floor. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

Oh my gosh, this is my second reply to you (I lost the first one… DON’T ASK), so after a lengthy ta do about your puppy (he/she) I started writing about your tunes. So the first one I sure hope no one got hurt on such a video, but dang it’s awesome. Following I haven’t heard that tune in forever!!! Next OH MY GOSH I haven’t heard the DRAMATICS in forever also… that one was from my high school days for sure! Talk about a one-step at my high school hop! And now the best for last.. “Everly Brothers”… OMG I can’t say I haven’t heard these guys in forever because I cannot. I really like these guys. The first time I heard them was their tune was coming out of my brother’s room because he use to play their records on his phonograph! He was 6 yrs. older than me, but I did inherit all his records eventually! WOW You definitely did a great job today my friend! hugs

Your Lucy is indeed “awww-inspiring,” and does make taking a nap look so good! That first video was really rad – and I used to have Eddie Rabbit’s album with “I Love A Rainy Night” on it….I played it all the time. The others were new to me and I enjoyed them, but I do love me some Everly Brothers. Thanks for playing along with my theme!

I’ve had several favorite tunes cross my mind since I posted this….”Have You Ever Seen the Rain” & “Who’ll Stop the Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival being at the top of my missed opportunities.

Great theme on the music today. On the waterfall video. The singer’s umbrellas didn’t do them much good!! They are soaked. The orchestra got a little wet and even the camera got the occasional drop on the lens.
I am thinking that that they recorded the music in a studio and put it over the waterfall scene. I just say this because you can’t hear the waterfall at all.
I love the Eddie Rabbit song. Don’t hear it too much these days but what a classic.

I agree. I believe the vocals and orchestra music are added after the video shoot. And yes, everyone got more than a little damp during the event.
