She is beautiful. American cocker spaniel? My very first pet of my own was a cocker spaniel for my 5th birthday. We had always had dogs but they were my parents and it was different to actually have my own.
American Cocker Spaniel indeed. I have had seven or eight dogs in my life and four have been American cockers. They are just the best. Like you the first one was in the family when I was just a toddler. The first one that I could call my own came when I was about six or seven. The last two dogs my wife and I have owned have been cocker spaniels and they have been the best tempered, easy going, but ready to play at the drop of a hat. I love all dogs, but cocker spaniels hold a very special place in my heart.
My spaniel was also very gentle and patient with me. My mother had boxers so she was a more manageable size for a 5 year old. Her registered name was Princess Selena and my mum expected me to call her Princess. I was never a girly girl so that wasn’t going to happen and I called her Sally. Happy memories.
The Goddess of your home. Great shot and she’s a beautiful girl.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

We have good reason for calling her the “House Princess”.

Lucille does not look pleased. How did you disappoint her now, lol? Not enough playing time recently?

Lucy is pretty sober unless she is playing or going for a walk. I think she feels the need to strike a regal pose when I have the camera.
