Monday’s Music Moves Me
Thanksgiving has come and gone. Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday are things of the past. While today is Cyber Monday for shoppers it is also Day 4 of my 2019 Christmas Music Marathon so if you’ve missed the first three days, just scroll back and take a listen. If this past week-end wasn’t enough of a reminder…It is Christmas Time again.
In some circles there is a bit of a debate whether Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays is the correct greeting of the season. I am not offended by either. Some would tell us that there are multiple holidays spanning a plethora of spiritual concepts, so they cover all of the bases with “Happy Holidays”. That’s okay, but I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I want to identify with the specific reason for my celebration. I am celebrating the birth of a Savior and the holiday carries His name. Therefore, you will hear me wish you a Merry Christmas. Today’s selections cover a range of Christmas thoughts and wishes. Enjoy and have a blessed week. Stop by every day for new music between now and Christmas Day!
I so enjoy your Christmas Music Marathon. I’m pretty sure I’ve been here from the beginning.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, my friend. 🙂

John,
Like you, I’m not offended by either greeting but I identify with the season at hand as the remembrance of Jesus’ birth, so you’ll hear ‘Merry Christmas’ uttered from lips, too. Thank you for sharing such beautiful, inspiring songs of love and hope with the 4M dance crew! Have a joyful time celebrating the ‘real’ reason for the season – Christ!

I am not offended by either Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas. Your three selections all had great melodies – toe tapping while they deliver their message.

With me, I love the season at hand. I always did, but lately, it’s like the season is no longer a pick me up with me. My husband & I all we do is fight. My health surely isn’t what it use to be, and I wish I could go back to work. Need I say more. The Christmas music at least soothes my nerves, but the smiles & laughter is no longer there. Maybe someday…. maybe. Love your tunes, my friend. Thank you for playing along.
