Our previous home had a much better variety of birds to enjoy. This house finch and a few cardinals are the most interesting feathered friends we have now.
I just bought my third bag of bird-food. I’ve been getting so many by my huge tree out in front I decided to buy a big bag of food bird… actually by daughter bought it for me. So, I also have two bird houses. I have an old one that more than 20 yrs. old, but still holding up and I found a red, white and blue one at good will. So I put some food in there and left out a bowl of food in the tree and left on one on the railing of my porch which they haven’t touched yet for some reason, but we’ll see. I have a finch that is very talkative & i talk back and they she chirps and then I talk & the she chirps hahaha it’s so much fun. Have a great day!
One of my neighbors feeds the birds year ’round. I just put the feeders out after the first freeze and feed through the winter. I do kee a bird bath fresh with water and the seem to like that throughout the summer. I may build a couple of bird houses for next year. Have a very blessed day.
Been paying attention more to birds since the pandemic started but I have so much to learn. We used to have house finches nest on our front porch light, but they didn’t come this year. I enjoyed your pictures very much.
What great captures nice and close up that first photo you can see every detail 🙂
Have a tweettastic safe week 😷😷😷

I’m a bird watcher too. They are so fun to watch and so hard to photograph.

Beautiful. We have several different finch types here, but none like that.

I have seen a yellow finch here but have not been able to get it in my lens long enough to click the shutter.
