Aww…some Mondays – Grand Canyon 2012

Happy Trails to You

During the past five years Bentonville, Arkansas has become the mountain bike and trail capitol of the world. People are moving here because of the multitude of hiking and biking trails at various skill levels. There seems to be something for everyone. Less than a mile from our home a wetlands park/trail has been developed to preserve the wetland area and provide a walking and bike trail for visitors. Osage Park is a series of interconnecting, hard surfaced trails near the local private airport. The park is 55 acres in size and includes a 12 acre wetlands area with beaver dam and a stocked lake suitable for kayaks. There must be over three miles of connected trails. It is really a great amenity for local residents.

Monday’s Music Moves Me

This week the theme at 4M is pick any decade and develop a play list from that decade. That’s a tough assignment for me. 60’s pop/rock, 70’s rock, 70’s country and 90’s country are among my favorites. I think I will focus on 70’s country for today’s installment.

  1. I so enjoyed our visit to the Grand Canyon. Breathtakingly beautiful.

How fun to have all those wonderful places to get out and about. So important.

Love your playlist. We like the same kinds of music.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, my friend. 🙂

  2. I would like to see the Grand Canyon someday. The 70s yielded some great music. I remember The Bellamy Brother’s “Let Your Love Flow”, great song! I knew all of your picks, except for Don Williams. Thanks for sharing and hitting the dance floor with the 4M crew. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

We were to the Grand Canyon back in 1977 – it’s on my “one day” list. Actually, so is Northwest Arkansas (I lived in both Fayetteville and Springdale in the early 80’s) and I would love to visit that park. I just won’t do it in August like I did the last time I was in Arkansas (2013). Anyway, I enjoyed your selections – I knew all but the first song and that one was so catchy. Jolene is a classic even for us non-country listeners and Let Your Love Flow was a crossover hit.
