Aww…some Monday’s Music Moves Me

Aww…some Monday

Dani

A couple of months ago I began volunteering at our local animal shelter. Once a week I go over to the shelter and walk a dog or two. I take them or a walk of about a half mile. There is a park bench along the way and we usually stop and I deliver my new friend a few snacks and we watch people riding bikes, walking and others walking their dogs. Last week I met Dani. Dani is a shepherd mix who has never met a stranger and is friendly to everyone. She has only been at the shelter a week and I would love to see her find a new home very soon. I really like my new adventure. I have made some very good furry friends along the way. As much as I like my new friends, I really would prefer not to see them again. I would prefer that they all find a furever home. I mean, who can resist this face?

Monday’s Music Moves Me

This week is a freedom of choice week, so I get to pick what ever songs move me. When November rolls around, my wife and I will be going to a Joe Bonamassa concert. I can’t wait and here is why. Keep in mind, he’s been playing like this since he was twelve years old! Have a blessed week.

  1. What a beautiful pup! It is so sad to see so many furry ones needing homes. How wonderful for you to get some of them out for walks so they have a change of scenery and some new human contact.

    1. Dani is very easy to walk on a leash. Bikes, people and other dogs don’t bother her much. She is curious about other dogs but not really aggressive. I can sit on a park bench and she just watches the world go by. I give her a few doggie snacks and we head back to the shelter. Dani is going to make someone a very good furbuddy.

    1. Dani will find a home soon, I’m sure. Her personality will melt a heart very soon.
I kept an eye on Joe’s website and when I saw he was going to be 20 miles away, I jumped on the tickets.

    1. Walking the dogs has been great fun for me. I have to pick my days since we are getting into 100 degree days here in NW Arkansas. Dani is too good natured to stay long. Someone is going to scoop her up pretty soon.
Joe Bonamassa is a unicorn on the guitar. There are just a handful of players in his league. Glad you enjoyed the videos.

Joe Bonnamassa is an awesome talent. And, he’s from (almost) my backyard – Utica, New York. I think his parents owned a music store in Utica at one time. I could only wish he would show up one day for our annual Blues on the Bridge outdoor free concert. Wouldn’t that be something. Loved every one of your selections. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. It’s gonna be awesome! The Walton Performing Arts Center is a 1250 seat venue so it will be an intimate setting for the blues. I found Joe’s videos several years ago and I just love what he does. I found a video of him on CBS Sunday Morning when he was 11 or 12 and he was setting a guitar on fire at that age.

  6. It’s been a good day. And yes growing old has it’s issues. I’m pretty sure I now have more medical professional in my contacts list than friends. Have a blessed week.

That pup’s face has melted my heart snd if I lived closer, I’d get her. When I retire, I want to work with animals too. They deserve all the love..just look at Dani.
Love this guy! I think I recall him as a 12 yr old prodigy and he left me gob-smacked. I’d love to see him in concert.
