Aww…some Monday -The Final Graduation

Thursday we traveled to Southern Arkansas University to attend the graduation of our youngest grand daughter on Friday afternoon. This marks the final graduation of our grandchildren. As her father said, we’ve been traveling these roads for ten years for all three grand daughters attended schools at least three hours from home. The oldest and youngest were in excess of five hours away and road trips just aren’t as much fun as the used to be.
This girl was our student athlete. She was a high school and college conference champion in high jump and a very good soccer player. As a high school senior, she placed second in the state indoor championship to her team mate, then Covid hit and there was no outdoor season, no school, no graduation ceremonies. She began her college career by capturing the conference championship as a freshman!

Her greatest feat may just be competing as a college athlete and graduating in four years. Her athletics did not get in the way of her academics and that is something that she can be very proud of. Now she is ready for the next chapter in her life and we can’t wait to see what the Creator has planned for this young lady.

Monday’s Music Moves Me
The theme this week at 4M is whatever music moves you. I have to admit there is a lot of different music that moves me. Friday was our 50th wedding anniversary, but with all of the activities surrounding the graduation of two of the grand daughters we are delaying a formal celebration until June 1st. Obviously there will be photos and memories to share with you then. One thing we have been working on is the playlist for the reception and here are a few of the tunes our guests will be hearing. Enjoy the preview.

One thinks life slows down as you get older, but you are still on the move, more than ever with all the graduations and now the 50 year anniversary. Huge congratulations on that! Staying busy keeps one young they say. Your granddaughter is amazing and how wonderful to have achieved so much in her sport and graduated with good grades. You have a great family.

Congratulations to your granddaughter for a wonderful accomplishment! Also, congrats to you and your bride of soon to be 50 years. The years zip by, don’t they? We’re five years behind y’all and our anniversary is also next month. Cool coincidence, huh? Anyway, love your music picks and can’t wait to listen to more next time. life does move fast and, when I was in my 20s, 30s and 40s, I felt life was good but now I think of the time moving way too fast. It’s hard to fathom that 50byears was the 70s. To me that’s modern. Love the playlist and Happy Anniversary. Insert the Fred Flintstone Anniversary song.

Happy 50th and, just coincidentally, you are going to celebrate on the day of our 50th wedding anniversary. So, great date choice. Great playlist, too, and I also send congrats to your youngest granddaughter. College graduation is so special to the graduating class of 2024 as so many of them never had a true graduation from high school in the spring of 2020. But they persevered and I hope her future is bright. May you and your sweetheart continue loving and active for years to come. Alana ramblinwitham
