Monday’s Music Moves Me
The theme this week at 4M is Songs to start 2025 or songs to motivate you for the new year. Recently I made a trip to my favorite local flea market and my favorite vendor is a booth of vinyl records. I can think of no better way to start any year than with this find, Linda Ronstadt’s album, “What’s New”. She collaborated with legendary composer/arranger Nelson Riddle to turn out a classic album of classic songs. Enjoy.

I adore Linda Ronstadt! She had a spectacular voice so it is a crime that her singing voice has been taken away. I watched her performance with Nelson Riddle, on YouTube.

I believe Ronstadt had a generational voice. She was the best female vocalist of her/my generation.

Cold weather, snow, and ice pose dangerous travel but provide some spectacular photo opportunities.

We are not quite so cold and hope we will not be, it’s hard on the swamp creatures and plants. It is very beautiful, though.

Most of our snow is melted. You might not even know it unless you look for it still in the shadowed areas but that probably will be gone by the end of today. It’s been really sunny. Our temperatures still continue to be horribly cold. I’m really ready for Mother Nature to have a hot flash. Fabulous pictures!
Your music set has such a retro vibe. Linda does this style very well. Just lovely songs!
