Aww…some Monday
Winter returned to the Ozarks Tuesday. The temperatures dropped into the teens and snow fell Tuesday and most of Wednesday. We got about 4″-6″ at our house, but some locations exceeded 7″, and that is a lot of snow for this part of the country. Then the bottom fell out of the thermometer. Wednesday night the temperature dropped into single digits with windchills reaching -15/-20! By the time this is posted we should be climbing out of the deep freeze and headed toward more spring like temperatures to end February. Since I am looking forward to spring colors and the photo opportunities, I thought I would go through the archive and bring a little spring to Aww Monday.

Monday’s Music Moves Me
The theme this week at 4M is FEVER…cabin or running one. Our recent Arctic blast would give anyone cabin fever and more than a few people have suffered through colds and flu. Cabin Fever gives you the urge to get outdoors and ramble down the road, so that’s where I am headed this week. Enjoy.
gee, are you planning a trip?

We are looking at options of where we might travel to this year. Nothing has been decided at this point.

It is enough to give you cabin fever, although seeing your lovely spring photos helps.
Here’s to rambling someplace excellent this year.

We haven’t made a final decision on any big trips this year, but we will probably take at least one rambling adventure.

Gorgeous shots of the butterflies. We wish we would get more cold and snow around here. This warm weather is disgusting at this time of year but climate change has ruined winter.

I truly don’t mind the snow and Lucy loves eating fresh fallen snow, but the single digit temperatures and sub-zero wind chills are simply not pleasant and totally unnecessary.

I live in Massachusetts and you have more snow than us. We have a lot of cold winds, but not as cold as you. I like your twist on the theme. 🙂

We get a couple of significant snowfalls per year, but rarely more than 8″ at a time. Maybe three times in my life have I seen over 20″ in a single storm and that just shuts everything down. Same with the cold temps. It is not unusual to have night time temperatures to fall into the upper teens or lower twenties, but single digits with sub-zero wind chills are rare and unwelcome here. Glad you enjoyed the tunes.

I love your photos! I can almost feel a gentle spring breeze and warm sunshine on my skin. I’ll be so happy to not wake up to temperature below freezing. Y’all got more snow than us. I’m sorry for that, my friend. It’s pretty to look at but that’s all at this point in my life. Thanks for joining the 4M party. Have a boogietastic week!

The snow is okay, the single digit temperatures are not okay. I’m too old to be that cold.

The snow is fine as long as I’m not out in it and I just hate it when it gets super frigid. The single digits are terribly bone chilling which I don’t seem to recover from! Here’s to warmer days ahead. 🙂

Some days my camera is my best friend, other days it seems to have a mind of it’s own. Still, I think it’s mostly operator headroom error.

love those butterfly pictures. We used to have so many monarchs and, last year, I saw 1. Are you taking a trip? Driving or by plane? The journey is always fun. Enjoyed the music and sorry for your cool weather. We are on a Rollercoaster. Last night it was -10 but will shoot up to 4 but back down to -15 or something like that we might get rain freezing rain, snow…the weathermen are using a dartboard. It is wrecking havoc on my joints.

Last year seemed to be a bit of an off year for monarchs. They arrived late and in fewer numbers.

Last year I think I saw one or two monarchs – worrisome. They wouldn’t last long where I live right now although today it is raining (not snowing) with temperatures around 40. I still have cabin fever, though and enjoyed your playlist. I loved how the Linda Ronstadt song had her singing without music in parts and you could really hear how great her voice is (or, sadly, was). The Tractors video was wonderful! Alana ramblinwitham
