Springtime in the Ozarks means dogwoods and redbuds are in bloom.
Monday’s Music Moves Me.
Since this is freedom of choice week at 4M I am going to feature gravel! I have always gravitated towards voices with a rasp in them, so I thought I bring a few back for your enjoyment. I can’t think of a better place to start that Joe Cocker.
I don’t think anyone brought more gravel with them than Rod Stewart.
A rasp in the voice in not the sole property of male vocalists. Give a listen to Tanya Tucker.
If you want a lot of grit in a small package, there is Stevie Nicks.
Ooh, Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks ….

The red buds are in full bloom here and the dogwoods are starting to show. I love gritty vocals Joe Cocker is one of my all-time favorites. May he RIP! Rod Stewart i another favorite. I think he’s only gotten better over the years, too. Stevie Nicks is amazing! DD#2 got to see her in concert several years ago. That would’ve been awesome. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

The forsythias are just starting to come out where I live. Right now it’s 73 and tomorrow it will be in the 40’s. But no matter, spring really is here and I loved your dogwood picture. I remember how beautiful the rows of redbuds at Prairie Grove State Park were and I wonder if they are still there. Oh yes, gravel music. Stevie Nicks, Rod Stewart and Joe Cocker were great choices. Enjoyed your selections. I looked online and Tom Waits was mentioned as a top gravel/raspy voice. I’m not familiar with his music. Alana ramblinwitham

what a nice picture….it’s just Grey here. I liked your theme. Could add Janis Joplin and George Thorogood, I think to this mix.
