The week prior to Easter I was back at a local high school track meet. There are only two left, conference finals are this week and state championships are next week. Fortunately, both meets will be at local tracks and I am hoping to attend. They will be all-day events and I’m not sure I will last that long. Wish me luck. Okay, here are a few images from the most recent event.

Monday’s Music Moves Me
Every era and genre of music has it’s super stars and those who are very good but become under appreciated. Linda Ronstadt and Janis Joplin were the queens of rock music of the 60’s while superb vocalists like Carley Simon, Bonnie Raitt, and Rita Coolidge never truly reached the upper tier of artists.
90’s country saw Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, and Shania Twain fill large arenas, while vocalists like Mary Chapan Carpenter, and Patty Loveless never attained the same kind of fame and fan base. One of my favorite female entertainer of this era is the lady I am about to feature and the good news is, pure country is making a comeback and she is is getting recognized once more. She never left and she never quit working, the industry has changed. Enjoy
Delightful photos, delightful music. I’m glad Ms. Clark is having a resurgence.

I don’t believe the artists ever quit working, the radio just quits playing their music. The artists continue to tour or play week-long engagements in casino venues.

Terri Clark has a great voice. It’s too bad -sometimes you just don’t know why some artists reach stardom and some never do, despite having the talent. Alana ramblinwitham

Music is like that. During this same time, on the men’s side, there as Garth Brooks, George Straight, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis & Vince Gill. Everyone else was just on a lower level.

It sounds like you have some exciting (and busy!) weeks ahead — best of luck at the upcoming meets! I really enjoyed your reflections on music too. It’s so true that some incredibly talented artists never quite got the widespread recognition they deserved. I’m happy to hear that pure country is making a comeback, and that these amazing voices are finally getting more attention.

So far the weather is not looking promising this week. We just need for the rain to stay away on Thursday.

I know I only have a couple of more years left to shoot sports, but it’s enough to motivate me to attend.

Fabulous action photos! I don’t remember this artist. I enjoyed sampling her songs you picked for us. My faves might be “No Fear” and “Now That I Found You”. Thanks for joining the 4M party. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

Glad you enjoyed the images.
Teri’s debut album went triple platinum but Dolly, Reba, Trisha, Martiina, and the Judds were the major players.

It’s not hard to find the action at a track meet and fortunately, it usually finds you.
