Aww…some Monday

Looking back through my files, I found this image from October 19, 2020. The leaves were dropping pretty fast and I was a few days late to photograph my favorite tree in all of it’s autumn glory. I captured this image, downloaded the file and created a more vintage looking photo. I need to do more of this. I’m one of those who like playing with the image in PhotoShop almost as much as capturing the image.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
This week at 4M the theme is whatever music moves you. I am moved by a variety of music but the music that truly touches my soul is the music that draws me closer to the Creator.
We live in a world filled with distractions, scams, and people telling us how we should talk, think, and act. It is easy to become confused about what is the right path to walk in this world. We have to focus on the truth and follow the teachings of those who speak the truth. Christ told us that He is the way, the truth and the life. In order to live the best life, in this life, I just need to turn my eyes upon Jesus. Have a blessed week.
It looks amazing and before we read about it, we thought it was a really old photo!

The challenge is that I don’t write down the filters and workflow that I used to achieve these results. Every image becomes a new experiment in post processing.

There are definitely times when B&W deliver better results than color and I think this was one of those times.

Your photo looks quite vintage. I like photo editing, too. It’s fun to recreate images!
You’re right in our world of confusion and distraction, keeping one’s eyes upon Jesus is the only way to keep focused and on track. With Christ’s leadership we can see pass the lies and know the truth. Nice song picks to battle these troubling times. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

I find it fun to go back to images I captured years ago and try to re-process them into something new and fresh.

I should get more into photo editing. I like the vintage look of the photo. I also like hearing artists singing other than the genre that made them famous (like Elvis and his many gospel songs). They can really showcase the vocal talents of these artists in different ways, like with Love Lifted Me. Alana ramblinwitham

Yes, that Randy Travis track caught me by surprise. There are some surprises even when contemporary Christian artists focus on the hymns of the church.
