Aww…some Monday’s Music Moves Me

Aww…some Monday

I have been interested in photography for over 50 years. These are my current cameras. I have owned the big camera for eight or nine years. It is still the camera I use for all of my sports photography and special events. I have owned the small camera for about two years and it has become my “go to” travel camera for obvious reasons. They both are quite capable of capturing very sharp images. The small camera was used to photograph the recent flea market dog show and birds of a feather images, while the large camera was used to capture all of the track meets in the spring and a recent air show.

Both cameras use interchangeable lenses, which means I can change the lens to suit the situation. Because they are two different manufacturers, the lenses are not interchangeable between the cameras. I picked up the small camera on Facebook Market Place and now have six different lenses for it. It will be the camera I use at the youngest granddaughter’s wedding to shoot casual images at the reception. The real wedding photos will be done by a professional. Well, that’s a quick look at the gear I use for my favorite hobby. Have a blessed week.

Monday’s Music Moves Me

The theme this week is “Whatever music moves you”. Well, a lot of different music moves me, so hang on.

  1. My big camera is a Nikon D500 APSC (crop frame) and I like the way it handles telephoto for sports. It also shoots 10 frames per second to help stop the action.

The little camera is a Canon M50 APSC that is no longer in production. I picked mine up on Facebook Market Place. With adapter, I can use Canon DSLR lenses and mine come from Ebay, Market Place, and the used lens section of local camera stores. For family vacation photos it is absolutely a great camera. I put a 17-50mm f2.8 lens on it and the images are wonderful. Still, I love my Nikon for the heavy photo work.

Hi Driller. I enjoyed learning about your cameras. I love photography. But once I gave up my manual Konica camera I never went the next step to digital. I’ve just been using my iPhone. In fact I just recently signed up for the iPhone Photography Academy but haven’t started it yet. Waiting to trade in my 14 Pro Max for the 17 pro max then I’ll start the courses.

Really liked your song choices. Although the two country ones are new to me I sure do remember the Four Tops and the 60s girl band! There used to be so many “girl bands” back in the 50s & 60s.

        thanks for sharing!

  3. You know your way around some nice equipment, as I’ve noted before, I need a PhD (Push here, Dummy) camera. It’s always a joy to see your photos, and felicitations to the bride and groom on their upcoming nuptials.

    Fun music, thanks!

  4. I haven’t used my Nikon DSLR in forever. I’ve gotten lazy using my iPhone for all my photographing. Love the oldies! “Broken Halos” is nice. I like Chris Stapleton’s voice. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!
