Lucy celebrated her second birthday on December 24th. Her new cousin Bruno came for a visit. He is a 10 week old chocolate lab and already outweighs Lucy by a pound. At first Lucy was not all that thrilled with her new cousin, but after a day or two they were peacefully co-existing. I believe in another couple of days they would have been close friends.
Well, the New Year is upon us and I will just start by saying that I am long past the resolution phase of my life. I am more into rolling with the punches and adjusting to the flow. We haven’t planned any major trips for 2019, but I am sure there will be one big vacation in our agenda.
2018 was an exciting year. The second granddaughter graduated high school. The oldest granddaughter graduated college in May, got her first teaching job in July, got married in November, and the newlyweds spent Christmas at our house! We took a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands in June and spent a few days in a condo in Branson, MO to unwind after the wedding. Now we are looking forward to what the new year has to offer.

We certainly are on the same page today. 🙂 I don’t do New Year’s resolutions anymore, either. I prefer to do everything that I possibly can within reason each year and if I’m blessed to see a new year then try again. Here’s to a very happy fulfilled 2019 to you and yours, my friend. I don’t do resolutions and haven’t for many years. Setting myself up for failure and I don’t like that idea.

The pups live far enough apart that visits will be infrequent. I don’t think they will ever be “kissin’ cousins”.

I don’t do any resolutions either. I think it’s best to begin each day with thanks to God for being alive and live it to the best and to glorify Him.

I’ve never been much into resolutions either. My only resolution for 2019 is to make sure that I make it to 2020.
