Beautiful clear photos.
Plymouth usually hosts the British National fireworks championships in August, but this year like most events it has been cancelled.
There was some talk about canceling the local fireworks display but the state as a whole has been doing very well regarding COVID-19. The location provided plenty for room for people to social distance. In fact there were six foot diameter circles marked in the grass to indicate proper distancing.
I love going to the shows, but at home Lucy does not like the noise. She’s not a fan of thunder and lightning, so you can only imagine how she feels about two or three nights of neighborhood fireworks.
Tulsa’s big fireworks display was cancelled but the neighborhood version was epic. Or dogs didn’t like it but the local guys started early and stayed up late.
It was reported that locally fireworks were flying off the shelves because so many events had been canceled. It was pretty obvious that there were several large neighborhood celebrations taking place. Yes, Lucy is not a fan of the fireworks either.
The town fireworks were cancelled but the amateurs more than made up for it, although all we could do is hear them. A state that legally sells fireworks is only about 15 minutes away from us and New York State police were trying to stem the traffic – many people intending their purchases not for themselves but perhaps for friends/family in New York City. Your pictures are fantastic!
Glad you enjoyed the images. We love going to the local displays. Most years we get to see two because some venues have displays on the 3rd while others schedule on the 4th. This year we only went to the one you see here, but it was a very good celebration.
They look sparkingly great I hope you had a tanfastical 4yj ๐

Very pretty. This is how we like to see them, quiet and not being set off by neighbors until all hours of the night.
