Aww Mondays

While Lucy is a healthy happy, bundle of energy, she does love a good nap. Crisp autumn days will often find her snuggled up in her bed catching up on her beauty sleep.
Autumn in the Ozarks
Autumn is my favorite season and Northwest Arkansas is one of the most beautiful places in the country during the transition from summer into winter. The colors are glorious and this year is another great season for photographing the foliage. We have had some cool temperatures, high winds and heavy rains which means that the leaves may not stay on the trees as long as we would like. The other day I grabbed my camera and headed out to capture the colors of autumn inside our city limits. Here are some of the images. There will be more in the coming weeks.

Monday’s Music Moves Me
The theme this week at 4M is to pick a country and build a playlist of artists from that location. Okay, that sounds like a fun search, so I will pick Australia for reasons that will be clear a little later. The first group is a mega group of brothers that gave us all Saturday Night Fever. The Bee Gees hail from down under and while the soundtrack from the movie made them all super-rich, it was a song from earlier in their career that stuck with me.
No list of Aussie artists would be complete without Olivia Newton John. She was the heartthrob of many a young man back in the day. This song has a decidedly country flair to it.
Speaking of country, the real reason that I chose Australia is because it is home to Keith Urban, legendary country artist and guitar player.
We love the fall leaves here too. Since we got a big snowstorm last week, Mom found new fun photographing the beautiful colored leaves on top of the fresh snow. Normally we don’t have this much snow until leaves are all done and gone, so it has been a fun new way to see leaves. Your photos are great! Happy fall y’all!

I can see where photographing autumn leaves in the snow would be a new and exciting challenge. Our first snow typically doesn’t happen before Thanksgiving and often it waits until after the new year.

Awww on Miss Lucy. She looks ever so content.
Wow on all the beautiful colors of fall. We don’t get much here. To many palm trees.
Love all the videos too.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. 🙂

I don’t know if I could live without my four seasons, especially the fall colors.
Yes, Lucy is always content and she has brought a lot of contentment into our home.

Your Lucy is adorable, but I think sleeping dogs always are! 😀 💖 Thanks for sharing your magnificent fall photos, as well. The Bee Gees were one of my favourite bands in the late 60s and early 70s, pre-Disco. We saw them live a few times in Toronto between ’72 and ’75. They were performing in small venues at the time. After “Saturday Night Fever,” everything changed, and musically not for the better, in my opinion. Keith Urban is an exceptionally talented guitarist and all-around entertainer. Thanks for the show!

Glad you enjoyed the photos.
A lot of artist music suffers when they become popular and in high demand. I liked the Bee Gees early stuff, but not so much after Saturday Night Fever.

You captured some fantastic fall color, Driller. Australia is a good choice; that country has produced a lot of good music. But Keith Urban? That one was a surprise! And I don’t know why I should be surprised. Of the three Urban songs, The Fighter duo with Carrie Underwood was definitely my favorite. And I just love the Bee Gees, older and newer versions. It’s so hard to believe two of the three brothers are gone – RIP.

Keith is a truly gifted musician and I just needed an excuse to feature him in a post.
This has been a pretty good year for seasonal color.

Great job my friend! Sorry I’m so late. We had company tonight believe it or not. It’s been so very long since we had even seen my sister & brother-in-law (hubby’s sister I wish I had one). It was great to actually see them. They didn’t stay long, but they felt the same way we did. We missed each other. Anyway, back to biz. I totally love your taste in music my friend. Bee Gees (my favorite) and I hadn’t heard this song in a long time. Thank you! Olivia Newton John she has such a pretty voice and Keith Urban is a new favorite of mine for sure. I just found out that he’s 5′ 7″ I believe and his wife Nicole is 5′ 11″! Wooo She’s pretty tall isn’t she? Wow! Keith’s songs are really good. I’m always listening to his music from you tube while I’m workin’ on the computer. My favorite is “The Fighter” with Carrie Underwood for sure! Why do rich folk wear rags? Weird for sure! Anyway, you my friend have ROCKED THE HOUSE!!! Have a great week and don’t forget stay healthy, stay well, stay safe & don’t forget that mask!!! Hmmmm wonder if our puppies should wear a mask??? HMMMMM My Charlie is a black/brown lab, but he’s 9 but I surely don’t want to lose him & they’ve been talking about dogs getting Covid… I pray they don’t. Have a great rockin’ week my friend & thanks for playin’ along. Give Lucy a treat for me!!! Loved your last tune too… you really rocked the house today for sure! Great job!

Sorry to be slow to make the rounds this week. I had doctor appointments on Monday, and my week just snowballed from there. I was really hoping someone would choose Australia! Thank you! Excellent choices to represent.
