This was my wife’s parents home in a small town in Southwest Missouri. I took this photo on a Christmas morning before anyone else woke up. I had to go out the back door and walk around another building to keep from putting footprints in the snow. Her parents have passed, the house has been sold and only the memories of past Christmas celebrations remain. It has been quite a few years since we last had a white Christmas in this area and I would like to see my home covered in snow this year.

Isaiah 9:6-7 tell us much about our Savior seven hundred years before His birth. “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given;” These verses also tell us that the government will be upon His shoulders and that His government will never end. God was not talking about physically overthrowing the Roman government and setting up a new center of power in Jerusalem: God was talking about eternity! We are reminded in Isaiah 55:8-10 that God does not think like us and we are incapable of thinking like Him, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts”. That child born in a manger in Bethlehem is going to govern eternity.
Beautiful photo of the home and the untouched snow all around it. We should have snow here, but it is dry as a desert which means it is brown and ugly. Hoping for snow, but days are too warm and there is no snow in the forecast.

We got snow here yesterday. About 4″ stayed on the ground. The neighborhood is filled with snowmen, women, and children. It will probably be gone by the week-end, but it is fun while it’s here.

A local builder bought the home and remodeled it into a showplace. It looks like something from an HGTV show on the inside.

Beautiful wintry landscape of your wife’s childhood home! We haven’t had a white Christmas in years. It would be a nice surprise to wake up to find the world wrapped in the purity of fresh fallen snow. Your mewsic is truly inspiring and uplifting which is precisely what we need these days. Thanks for sharing with the 4M crew this week and for joining us on the dance floor. Have a blessed Christmas season, my friend!

We are in the midst of a snowstorm right now, so it was just the right setting to view your wife’s childhood home – how beautiful. It will be a birthday gift to wake up to tomorrow. Melodie Malone has a beautiful voice – I really enjoyed her rendition of that classic carol.

More great songs. I know the music in Hallelujah is a little overused with other songs but it really works here.
So what is the deal Driller, do you work on all these songs all year long or are you familiar enough with them that you pull them out of your pocket. You certainly pick some great ones, a mixture of the old and the new, and the old sung in new ways.
