Aww Mondays

Lucy went to the vet for her annual check up and a couple of vaccinations. Our vet is still offering curb service only, so they come out and pick Lucy up, take her inside and provide the required services then bring her back to the car. It takes about twenty minutes. Her check up was great and she is a slim and trim 17lbs. which is small for a cocker spaniel, but she is only 12 inches tall at the shoulders. I opened the paper work and the vet had written a note “Lucy looks great!!.” Yes, I think she looks pretty good too.
Spring Soccer

It’s springtime in the Ozarks and that can only mean soccer is in the air. We no longer have any grand kids playing high school sports but I still like photographing the action. This image is from a recent girls junior varsity match up. The home team is in black and this day was not a good one for them. Maybe next week will be better.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
Well, the honor of hosting April’s 4M themes has fallen to yours truly. It has been said that April showers bring May flowers. I believe there is even a song with that lyric. So today the challenge is to make it rain people. I suppose the first question is, “Have You Ever Seen It Rain.”
Have you ever noticed that rain seems to have a rhythm of it’s own? A thunder storm is different than a spring shower.
Somebody ought to write a rain song.
If you have seen the rain and the rain has a rhythm, and someone has written a rain song, the only qustion that remains is, have you ever sang in the rain?
I enjoyed the direction you went with your music and post. I have definitely seen it raining on a sunny and I have noticed different rain storms have different rhythms. Often times when we’re caught in a gentle rain, I will sing, “I’m Singing In The Rain”. It’s a natural response for every time. 🙂 Your action photo is excellent and Lucy is pretty as a picture. I’m glad she got a clean bill of health from her Vet. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

Great to hear Lucy is in fine shape. We are really tired of the curbside vet thing. Mom wants to go in with us and we are hoping by the end of summer when we go in for physicals things will have changed. 17 lbs is nothing, wow! Have a gret week!

I like going in with Lucy and I hope this curbside service ends soon. Yes, she is a slim and trim 17 lbs. which makes Lucy a small cocker spaniel, but she is big on personality.

Love your choices my friend! YEP, it’s me and I’M BACK! I’m still trying to figure out my computer, and I haven’t even post yet because I’m trying to figure out a few things yet, and I’m hoping our lovely Cathy can help me. Unfortunately, I used an old blog & I’m trying to figure out how to get rid of its messages and to post my new one instead. 😦 I’ve been up since about 4 a.m. cuz it was on my mine so much that I hadn’t finished it so I got up to do so. For now I’m going back to bed for 40 winks if I can. Later my friend, and love today’s topic and love your choices in the tunes. Singing in the Rain being my most favorite! Woo Hoo!

Welcome back!!! We need to replace our desktop machine, but I am NOT looking forward to the transition. I am not a fan of some changes and every new computer has changes that weren’t really necessary. Computer and software companies are like, “We know it’s not broken, but we’re going to fix it anyway!” Good luck with the transition.

I must say it sure is a lot of work, and if you’re not a genius it’s a lot of heartache too! Good luck my friend.

Lucy is a little sweetie.
I love your sports photography. You are good at capturing the right moments in the action.
I had forgotten how smooth a tune the CCR’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain”. I am so used to their louder more political stuff.
And speaking of smooth, Dan Fogelberg is is. Another song I have almost completely forgot and a classic. As my son would say “It’s canon.”
Now the Beatles. I haven’t heard that song before I don’t believe.
“Singing in the Rain” is such a joyous song and exuberantly performed.
Have a great week Driller!!

I had never heard the Beatles song either, but it seemed to fit the post this week. I had almost everything CCR released back in the day. I guess I could have also posted “Who’ll Stop the Rain”, which is significantly more political. Have a blessed week.

I had never heard the Dan Fogelberg cover of Listen to the Rhythm of the Falling Rain – I love the original and I love this cover. Another favorite of mine is CCR’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain”. I was in college when it came out, and probably came close to wearing out the album.

I think I had nearly every album released by CCR and Sir Elton John back in the day. And yes, I nearly wore them out.
