Wordless Wednesday

At the time of this posting it will be three weeks since my knee replacement surgery. At the end of two weeks I transitioned from a walker to a cane for 99% of my needs. Driving is still a few weeks away, so I am unable to get out and travel to new places and photograph new events. Therefore, I have been digging back into the archives and pulling some of my old images out and posting them for Wordless Wednesday. This is my 2011 Nissan Frontier. I took this photo the day I bought the truck and it only had 11 miles on it. 10 years and 59,000 miles later, I still own this little work horse. One great feature is that Nissan has not changed the body style of this truck in 16 years, so you have to know your Frontiers to know exactly what year you are looking at. I love this little truck and see no reason to trade it for a newer model.

Since this truck is timeless, I though it only appropriate to produce a timeless Black & White image or two.

So sorry to hear about your knee, but I wish you a very speedy recovery my friend. Now the hard part the dreaded THERAPY!!! I truly hope you heal quickly & I shall remember you in my prayers. Now that beauty of a truck is awesome. My hubby has a Nissan too. Actually it’s his second Nissan car that he’s had if I remember correctly. I want my next one to be a Nissan. i think they’re really good… hmmm wonder how their Vans are? I like Vans. I like enough metal around me that if someone is going to rear-end me or something like that I want them bending metal & NOT ME! hahaha! Have a wonderful day my friend. GET WELL!

    1. I think therapy is just part of the process. Most of the pain is more than what I was putting up with prior to surgery, so if it goes away in a few weeks…all is well. One just has to understand that there is no such thing as a delicate orthopedic surgery. There’s gonna be hammers, saws, drills, and screwdrivers involved.

  2. It looks brand new too. I shows that you take good care of your little workhorse. I’m not surprised. You know how I love black and white photography.

Keep up the good work on your physical therapy.

Hang in there, DrillerAA. Not speaking from personal experience but from people I know who have had that surgery. Your little workhorse has obviously been cared for with love and the black and white photography was perfect for showing it off.

    1. The truck has a few minor nicks and scratches, but don’t we all? It’s been a real good truck with an absolute minimum number of mechanical issues and nothing major.

  4. Glad to hear you are progressing after the knee replacement, I hear it is a long road but worth it too. I was just admiring all the older model cars. Today everyone seems to be driving the same color and style. No creaticity. That is a very cool truck. Prayers for healing..
