Aww…some Mondays
During our recent vacation we spent a couple of hours on the skeet range. My wife is the second shooter in this image. It was her first time to shoot skeet and she hit several. It was a great family outing with my cousins.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
It’s another free week at 4M so I am going back to the gospel genre. Recently we had the opportunity to attend a concert by The Martins. The Martins are a family trio, featuring a brother and two sisters. They have been singing professionally since they were teens over thirty-five years ago. There is nothing quite like family harmony and this trio is among the best.
Hubby loves skeet shooting. He smiled when I showed him this post.
Love all the videos. You and I love the same kinds of music.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, my friend. 🙂

I’ve never seen skeet shooting nor shot skeet- do you have ear plugs in your ears- or is it not too loud? Just curious. Have a great day!

Ear plugs are provided, but optional. For most people, the noise is tolerable, but the ear plugs are to save your hearing in the long term. Certainly, most concerts you go to have a louder sustained volume than shooting skeet.

I’ve only gone skeet shooting once, a very long time ago. I didn’t like the sound of the gun.

Skeet shooting can be fun, but i haven’t had the chance in many years. Love the music you choose!

I’ve never been skeet shooting. In fact, I don’t recall ever shooting from a shotgun or rifle, except for when I was a really small girl and now I’m not sure that I actually fired it with Daddy’s help or that I only recall holding it. I always shied away from firing these as I got older because I know often times they kick which scare me. I’ve fired a handgun, but nothing big just a 22. It had a little kick so I can’t imagine what a 38 or 44 would do. Forget that, I’d hurt myself no doubt and besides, I’m a terrible shot. I always say, I can’t hit the side of the barn. I’m horrible when it comes to target practice. I know that means I should be practicing but I’m not. Let’s hope if I ever need to fire a gun in self defense that the Lord is in control because I certainly have none. Thanks for sharing the lovely gospel music by The Martins and for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor, my friend. Have a blessed week!

I chose not to shoot skeet because I have a pacemaker placed where the butt of the gun would rest and I was a little concerned about recoil. I would love to participate so I am going to have a conversation with my cardiologist in November.

I have never fired a gun. If you ever saw my brief bowling career you’d know I have no aim, whatsoever. Everyone watch out! Yet, I might try skeet shooting – who knows, I might enjoy it. The Martins do have some nice harmonies.
