Aww…some Monday’s Music Moves Me

Aww…some Monday

Lucy is looking forward to Friday because that will be the start of my 12th annual Christmas Music Marathon. Every year, beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving, I will post at least one song per day that will focus on the celebration of Christmas and the birth of our Savior. Stop by and hear some of your favorite songs of the season and I can guarantee there will be several new-to-you tunes in the mix. Lucy and I will share a playlist that is sure to put you in the Christmas mood.

Monday’s Music Moves Me.

This week at 4M the theme is things we are thankful for. Like most people, I am thankful for my family, my friends, my health. Despite all of her bumps, bruises, warts, scars, and discord, I am thankful that I live in the greatest and most blessed nation on the planet. We are far from the perfect union that Abraham Lincoln dreamed of in the Gettysburg address. Still, we enjoy the opportunity to live a life not found anywhere else in the world. I am thankful for the God of all creation and His gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. I am thankful that He has given us the gift of music to express our feelings and deliver a message to our world. Yes, I am Thankful. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

  1. Miss Lucy is so beautiful.

You know I’ll be ever day for the Christmas Marathon. I’ve enjoyed it for years.

I’m thankful for all those things too, my friend.

  2. I count my blessings every day. When you speak to the Lord, will you please ask God to heal my son’s back. I knew he had some back problems but yesterday I learned he has 3 herniated discs, 1 bulging disc, narrowing on both sides which I don’t know what that means, and something else he couldn’t remember. He sees a neurosurgeon on December 3rd. Ask God to give the doctor the knowledge to prescribe the best treatment for him.

I shall look forward to your Christmas music marathon next month. I’m doing the thing this year, too. It was you who inspired me to start the practice on my blog. I enjoyed your Thankful music selections. There’s nothing like worship music to put you in the right frame of mind to dedicate ones gratitudes to the One who makes all things possible. Oh yeah and thank you for being not only good friend but my brother in Christ! Have a blessed Thanksgiving, my friend.

    1. Lucy knows she looks special when she comes home from the groomer. It’s been a couple of weeks but the trim still looks fresh.
Glad you enjoyed your visit. Next year Crystal Bridges will have a first printing of the Constitution on display. No details available yet. I’ll keep you informed.
