Aww…some Monday

Our butterfly bush continues to draw visitors, including the elusive Monarch. Monarchs have not been coming in large numbers this year. In fact none of the larger butterflies, like the swallow tails, have been common sights this summer. Photo opportunities have been few, so I got pretty excited when this Monarch made an appearance earlier this week.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
The theme this week at 4M is freedom of choice. A few weeks back I featured several male country artists that were not what most fans would consider A-list recording artists. I mentioned that I might feature one of them in a later post. Today is the day and Clay Walker is the artist. Clay came on the scene in the 90’s. He has a great voice and I love the lyrics to some of his songs. Here are a few tunes from an under-appreciated country singer. Enjoy.
Wow on the shot of the butterfly. Beautiful. You have photography down to a fine science.
Great playlist.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a blessed Awww Monday and week, my friend. 🙂

You captured great detail on that monarch! I haven’t seen many monarchs this year; it’s worrysome for sure. I have seen Eastern black swallowtails and Eastern tiger swallowtails this year, along with some viceroys. Clay Walker has a nice mellow sound; easy to listen to. Alana ramblinwitham

Those are stunning photos that you created! Bravo! I’ve seen a couple Monarchs flit by but no caterpillars here or at school. Thank you.

Brilliant images and tunes!!! The butterflies are still visiting here too, though it won’t be long before they are gone for the season.

Excellent macro shots! I haven’t seen a Monarch in quite awhile. We used to go to the Blue Ridge Parkway when the kids were small to try to catch a glimpse of the Monarch migration in late August. I think I read in recent years the numbers have fallen off. We were never fortunate to catch hundreds of them making their passage as some have reported in the past which would be pretty amazing to see. Clay Walker has a nice warm tone. I enjoyed listening to his music a lot. Thanks for joining the 4M dance floor. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!
