We got our first real snowfall of the winter last week. While we got 4 or 5 inches overnight, the ground was still warm enough that the street were not bad at all. I got up a little too late to drive the area and look for some rural photo opportunities so this tree in my neighbors yard will have to do. The school district did declare a snow day so I did drive around the neighborhood and find a few snowmen created by the families. This one is my favorite because it is soooo traditional.

Monday’s Music Moves Me
This week at 4M is a freedom of choice week. Since the recent loss of two rock icons, Jeff Beck and David Crosby, it only seems fitting to pay tribute to the men whose music was a part of my youth and young adulthood.
David Crosby is best know as a founding member of The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash. For live performances Neil Young would join the group and it would become Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Here are a couple of flashbacks from these two super-groups. Have a blessed week.
What a beautiful snow shot. Snow is most beautiful.
Love your playlist. Some songs I’ve not heard in years.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, my friend. 🙂

It was a perfect snow of 4″-5″ on the ground and almost none stuck in the streets!

So far so good. No snow in our neck of the woods but for how much longer? We’re on a rollercoaster with the temperatures. I’m ready for spring. The snowman is a great discovery in your neighborhood and I’m glad there was enough snowfall for a family to build this fella.
I love all of your oldies! Thanks for joining the 4M party this week, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

We are also on the temperature roller coaster. Friday the temperature was in the 50’s, today it’s in the 20’s with lots of sleet and it will return to the 50’s by Saturday.

I used to love winter, but the older I get the better I like warm weather.

We still haven’t gotten any snow here (Long Island, NY). I am not upset, I am not fond of snow.

Right now we are getting our second storm and it is all sleet. There is probably 3″ of sleet in the streets and more to come. Travel is going to be very difficult for a few days.

We average about 80 inches a year where I live and we are no strangers to snow as a result. The kind of snow that doesn’t mess up the roads is my favorite. It’s sleeting right now and your music brightened a dreary evening. I especially loved the Byrds and the Yardbirs growing up, and enjoyed the Yardbird’s cover of Hey Joe. Alana ramblinwitham

We have about 3″ of sleet on the ground today and more on the way. There may not be much going on in this town for a week. Glad you enjoyed the trip down memory lane.

Snow is lovely to look at, but here in the swamps it can be a disaster. We just aren’t used to it.
Your photos are lovely.
That was some amazing music!

I really thought these images worked best in B&W.

What a great tribute! He looked so boyish when In The Byrds. I was able to see The Byrds, without him and some others back in the 1980s. It was cool.
