Aww…some Monday
One sure sign of the arrival of spring in our town is the opening of the local Farmer’s Market. Every Saturday morning between April and September the square is filled with vendors and shoppers. There is a feeling of a new beginning each year. I grabbed the camera and went for a stroll Easter week-end.

Proud parents were having photos of their kids taken with the Easter Bunny. Yes, pets are family.

It was a great day to take the family out for a morning stroll. Yes, pets are family.

Yes, our local Farmer’s Market is the place to be on Saturday mornings. See ya there!
Monday’s Music Moves Me
The theme this week at 4M is to build a playlist that defines what makes life magical to us. Let me start by simply saying, “Life is magical!” Life is a miracle. Life is precious and priceless. Life is a gift from a Divine Creator who loves us more than we will ever know.
Life for mankind began on the sixth day of creation. Genesis 1:27 tells us, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female He created them.” God has always known everything about everyone of us and He has a plan for us. He told Jeremiah, “Before you were born, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” God had a plan for Jeremiah to be a prophet before He placed the prophet in the womb. Matthew tells us that our Creator knows the exact number of hairs on our head. The human body is the most complex organism on the planet and to believe that mankind has arrived at his current state through a billion years of random acts of atomic collisions would seem to be sheer fantasy. Each of us is a divine creation, uniquely crafted by a loving Creator who has a plan for us, if we will only seek and obey His will.
I suppose this is why I love gospel music and music that gives honor and glory to the One worthy of our praise and worship. I love all sorts of music, rock, jazz, blues, big band, country and folk. Still, the music that moves my soul and makes me understand just how magical life really is comes from the church and those who give honor and glory to the Creator. Have a blessed week.
I love your photo shoot session! What great fun pictures! Photography is a fabulous hobby. I really want to get my DSLR out to use again but until such time my go-to-camera, my iPhone works well. We went to Petty Fest this past Saturday. I hope to share a few of those photos this week if I can find time to pull together a post. It’s going to be a crazy week, I think.
I couldn’t agree with you more, life is a miracle and oh so precious! Your music picks fit so perfectly for this week’s theme. Isn’t it wonderful to know first hand that magic, that wonder, that miracle power in the blood.
Thanks for joining the 4M party and for sharing some wonderful gospel hymns, dear friend. Have a magical week boogieing through your days!

Phone cameras have become very good, but I still prefer to use a dedicated camera for dedicated events. These were taken with a Canon M50 mirrorless. It is a very compact package and easy to carry around the market.

More of your enjoyable photography. I’m assuming this is the Bentonville farmers market. It looks so well attended. Everyone looked to be having a great time, too. I have many fond memories of the Fayetteville market back in the 1980’s – I worked in downtown Fayetteville for about a year and it really made downtown fun. Alana ramblinwitham

Welcome back young lady. I will be stopping by very soon.
I have two cameras, a Nikon D500 and a Canon M50 mirrorless. They might be a little more fussy than you want to mess with as they have interchangeable lenses and the Canon requires a lens adapter to really get the best lenses available. I would suggest a compact camera with a built-in zoom lens. These are my suggestions, Nikon P950 or B600, Canon SX60, SX70, G1X. You can buy them online or look at Facebook Marketplace to see if anyone in your area has one for a really good price.
Glad you enjoyed the songs, they are among my favorite artists. Have a blessed week.

I don’t think the markets in the towns are open yet, it is too cold and we just had snow. The big ones in the city are open all year long but we don’t usually to to them. Parking is way too difficult. Great photos of “life” at the market.

Our local market is open from April through the first part of October and parking can be an issue after 9:00 a.m., so it pays to be an early bird.
