Aww Monday

Monday’s Music Moves Me
This week at 4M is freedom of choice week and I have been listening to some Justin Johnson. Justin is a guitar player extraordinaire! His genre of choice is mostly Delta Blues and his instrument of choice is the Resonator Slide Guitar. He can play any guitar and I will feature a variety of his work. He is also a finger style player. Enjoy.
Check this guy out. You won’t be disappointed. Have a blessed week!
Well, my hubby caught me listening to all these guitars… so now he has to listen… hehehe Yes, he’s a lead guitar man. The band broke up, so he’s looking for other guys to join. Anyway, I’ve been up all night because MY COMPUTER HATES ME! Boy, sometimes I almost believe that. Luvin’ your tunes & Hubby too! lol Have a great day my friend! Hope you had a nice weekend!

Justin is a talented guitarist. The resonator slide guitar has an interesting, cool vibe but my favorite is Tennessee Whiskey. The guitar Justin uses for it is more pleasing to my ears with its mellow sound. I am going to bookmark his YT channel so I can listen to him some more. Thanks for sharing and for joining the 4M party, my friend. Have a bogietastic week!

As I was listening to his tunes I noticed he had played the resonator, six string acoustic, twelve string acoustic, and electric guitars, so I had to feature a sample of each.

He’s very versatile. I guess once you learn how to play one string instrument, it’s easy to pick up others.

What a beautiful flower. You captured it perfectly.
Love your playlist and I listened to the last on all the way through. I wasn’t disappointed.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

I love dogwood trees in the spring. It means it’s time to go crappie fishing.
I was fascinated by his finger picking style. So many artists use only a pick. The callouses on his fingers must be like nails.

Very interesting selection from a talented musician. My favorite was Rumblestrippin but When The Levy Breaks was a close second. Alana ramblinwitham

Sorry my friend, but Dave & I had to come back & listen to your first tune again because hubby is trying to play it… and by jove….. I THINK HE’S GOT IT! hahahaha Thanks my friend! Have a great night! hugs P.S. That was a great tune… except Dave said he should’ve played it just a hair faster… this one sounds like he’s draggin’ it out! I should try to tape Dave and send it to you, but it may take him a while to get it. He’s been taking care of me the last two years and he hasn’t played, so he’s got to get his MOJO (as he puts it) back! 🙂 *giggle!!! Have a great night!

Love these songs and I was wondering if anyone else would choose these iconic songs that are a huge part of that war. You’ve seen enough, that’s for sure.

I just picked a few songs that stuck with me. “Crying Time” seemed to be the last song played on the juke box in every Enlisted Mens Club I can remember. Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay was just an iconic song that played everywhere. “The Letter” seemed to be associated with guys who got “Dear John” break-up letters while they were in the service and “White Rabbit” was a drug culture anthem. Still we had some of the best, most diverse, and iconic music in history.
