Regardless of how the Christmas holiday is portrayed in our world, it is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the promised Savior, the Son of God. While the world of Christ may have taken little notice of His birth, we can find that it should not have been a surprise to anyone in search of a Savior. Hundreds of years prior to that Christmas morning in Bethlehem, prophets spoke of His coming. Isaiah 7:14 tells us, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” 800 years prior to Jesus’s birth Micah 5:2 told the ancient world, “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for Me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” These are just two of several Biblical example that tell of the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. And one one night in Bethlehem the world was changed by a baby boy!

I found this nativity at an outlet store in Lebanon, MO. I didn’t purchase it, I just photographed in knowing I would use the image in the Music Marathon this year.

What a great nativity scene. There are so many varieties, we have a glass one, Gramma has a straw one from Sweden. It’s fun to see all the different ones this time of year.

I listened to all your Christmas songs. I’m not into country that much but that doesn’t matter. I enjoy Christmas music and grew up with carols and German Christmas carols which, to me, is the epitome of Christmas…lol. I have 2 nativity scenes..one hand carved from Tirol and the other bought in KY home town here but done like Byzantine, all in tin. It’s beautiful

I take a small camera or my cell phone to stores and flea markets. When I come across a display that I really like, I take a photo and save it for the marathon.
