The theme this week at 4M is songs that make you think of sports or the outdoors. My dad loved the outdoors and he loved nothing more than filling an ice chest with crappie and having a fish fry when he got home.
The youngest granddaughter was a soccer player and conference champion high jumper in high school and college.
I grew up playing baseball and football ( football is a mandatory sport in Oklahoma, Texas, and Alabama). I loved both sports, but baseball was my favorite.
I guess the song that makes me want to put on my cleats and glove, pick up my bat, and head toward the dugout is John Fogerty’s Centerfield.
If you grew up in Oklahoma, played high school football and graduated from the University of Oklahoma, there is one song that will make you want to buckle up your chinstrap and hit something. BOOMER SOONER!!!

Happy Birthday to Xman! 🎂 “Centerfield” is a great song! I remember the first time I was introduced to the Sooners. It was many years ago. We watching college football with in the living room of my late in-laws and the Sooners were so entertaining on the field making some of the craziest fun moves. It was just great fun! happy birthday to Xman and love the photos. You are all big sports people and I’m the opposite unless watching dancing or dancing ballroom counts. My brother is the sports guy…baseball first , the hockey.
