Aww…some Monday

This image is from October 2018. It reminds me why autumn is my favorite season. I love the crisp air, the changing leaves and the multitude of trails that we have to explore here in NW Arkansas. A photographer can spend days in the woods capturing scenes like this for personal enjoyment at a later date. So far, 2024 is shaping up to be a great season of color. Meanwhile here are a couple of images from 2018.

Monday’s Music Moves Me
This week is a free choice week at 4M so I am going to revisit a genre of music that I discovered several years ago. Red Dirt music originated in Stillwater, Oklahoma and got it’s name from the color of the red clay top soil that is prominent in central and western Oklahoma. The music is a throwback to the origins of country music, bluegrass, blues, and rock. Some of the prominent artists include the, Red Dirt Rangers, Turnpike Troubadours, and Cross Canadian Ragweed. I love this stuff. Have a blessed week.
I enjoyed your fall pictures; they can remind me of how things are starting to look where I live in the Southern Tier of New York State. I love seeing the asters bloom at this time of year, the flowers that ring out the growing season. I am not a big country fan but I enjoyed all of your selections. My favorite songs were the second, and the last. Alana ramblinwitham

Fall can be so beautiful. We don’t get much here, but we do enjoy pictures, and I especially enjoy yours.
Thanks for sharing the music, the style feels like a comfortable old friend even if I’ve never heard it before.

We need some cooler air and rain and then our fall will really start to begin. The leaves changing color are always so amazing.

fall is beautiful and so wondrous. I’m not much intonthis music. The 3rd one was too nasally for my taste and that last one was so depressing. I knew someone who did put a bullet to his head because his wife left him. It was way back in the 70s but I still remember him. Hecwas a good soul.
