You may recognize this Santa from an earlier post. He was part of a Coca Cola promotion in the mid/late 50’s. A friend of my parents worked in the Coca Cola bottling plant in Ada, OK and secured this item for my mother. The six-pack of Coke is a collector souvenir celebrating the University of Arkansas winning NCAA Championship in basketball.

Now if the image had been captured on film and set in the closet for thirty years, it might look something like this.

I love Photoshop Elements. Have a blessed day.
LOL, good one with how film photos age. Mom notices that every time she looks at old albums of prints. She is a coke girl too, so this is a good photo for her.

Yes, I have a program called On1 and their special effects filter can replicate various films. Back in the day, I used to shoot some in color slides. Recently I found a few and had them digitized. The color on the slides was remarkable.

I didn’t know that Santa was part of a coke ad. He’s handsome. I so remember my mother with her bottles of coke in the fridge when I was little. A fond memory.
Love both the videos. Very fun.
Have a blessed day and week, my friend. 🙂

My grandmother was a fan of Royal Crown Cola, but my mother was all in on Coca Cola. The one pictured here is a fond memory from my childhood.

I’m sure I’ve just forgotten but I don’t remember Coke promotional bottles when I was a kid. I think it wasn’t until the 80s we use to get the small bottles (aren’t those 8oz) with Santa on the bottles. In recent years I learned Coke advertisement featured Santa for many, many years before I was born. I love vintage stuff like this, though. Michael Bublé is a good singer. I enjoy his crooner style! The girls singing, “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” is sweet. 🙂 Happy Holidays, my friend!

The bottles here are from 1994. I think the old bottles were either 10 or 12oz. Yes, I think the Santa that we know and love was developed by an artist in 1931 for Coca Cola magazine ads.

Yes, film is great, until it gets very old in the back of the closet. Those are great collectibles, too.
I’m enjoying the fun music, too. Have you ever heard, “Santa Bring My Brother a Big Ol’ Box of Rocks”?

Seems like I saw it on another post the other day, but I can’t honestly say that I have listened to it.
