Aww…some Monday

Lucy’s favorite spot in the house is perched on the back of the couch observing the activities around her, inside or outdoors.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
The the theme this week at 4M is freedom of choice. I am going to feature some music released by a major country artists after the high-point of his career. Vince Gill was a very popular country artist in the 90’s country music scene. Not only was Vince a popular vocalist, but he was, and still is, a world class guitar player. His services have been a part of the recordings of over 1,000 other artists.
Vince reminds younger artists that come to Nashville to enjoy the ride, but plan for the future, after the fame wears off. “They quit playing Elvis, so they’ll quit playing you someday” is the advice of a seasoned veteran of the music industry who has become the vocalist for everyone’s favorite band, The Eagles. Here is a sample of what this fellow Okie can do.
The song that launched Vince’s career and made him a household name in country music was “Nobody Answers, When I Call Your Name”. His tenor range was unique among country artists.
Now, at age 67 Vince is not a chart- topping recording and touring artist. He is now the lead vocalist for The Eagles, an A-list session player, and records songs that are important to him. He has mellowed with age.
Miss Lucy is a huge Awww. They have their favorite places to view their kingdom. As it should be.
Love all the videos. Amazing how he came and went so quickly. As everyone does at some point.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, my friend. Scritches to Miss Lucy. 🙂

I’m sorry you were down at the end of last year into the new year. Folks are sick left and right it seems. Thankfully…knock on wood…that we haven’t caught anything and that’s the way I want to keep things. 🙂
I enjoyed listening to Vince Gill this morning. He has a very nice voice. My favorite of these may be I DON’T WANT TO RIDE THE RAILS NO MORE. He’s a great match up for the Eagle’s style that I grew up on.
Thanks for bringing a lovely collection of music to the dance floor today, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

I have always been a fan of 90’s country music and Vince was a favorite. Now he is a Nashville icon. His most recent albums are great listening and exquisitely crafted.

That was an interesting sampling. Great voice, great guitar. I really enjoyed the first selection and Down to My Last Bad Habit. I had no idea that he was now the lead singer of the Eagles. Gill has a mature attitude about fame. I’m not big into this genre but the musical talent is obvious. As for the house princess, she’s on the job all the time. Alana ramblinwitham

Lovely Lucy! 🙂 My dog likes to look out the front window too. I didn’t know Vince Gill was fronting The Eagles now. He certainly has had an illustrious career!

I’m not a country fan but I cam see how talented he is. Of course, I have heard of him…he’s famous. Funny how some musicians could bring in thousands at one time and fill a huge auditorium but now they do dinner theatre…lol. He’s not like that but you know what I mean:). You Lucy is so cute. Reminds me of my Opa, of course he was a human, but he loved sitting at his desk and looking out the window.
