Aww…some Monday

It’s official!!! She’s in Arizona and working in the Athletics training complex. Proud doesn’t begin to describe how her Nana and I feel right now. Well done!!!
Monday’s Music Moves Me
The theme this week is artists, bands or songs that make you think of cold. We just had a nasty cold spell in our part of the world, as night time temps dropped into single digits and daytime highs did not break the freezing mark for three days. That’s a pretty severe winter spell for us. Snow was involved, but nothing like New Orleans. The French Quarter was a winter wonderland. I am sure a few of my tunes will appear in other playlists today but here is my contribution.
80’s hair band, Foreigner comes to Nashville and rocks the Mother Church of country music with their legendary hit.
I am so very glad for your granddaughter and your family.
It was a winter wonderland, one the animals and plants and even most people hope is not repeated any time soon. I’m not ready for summer yet, but would be much in favor of milder winter lasting longer.
The music you chose is just right.

It seems like every stage of life is fun to watch for the grand crew.
I don’t like winter nearly as much as I did in my younger days.

Lovely news about your clever daughter well done her! …love your music especially Cold as Ice I love that song.
it is cold wet and very windy here in the UK. And the wind-chill factor makes it even colder 💜💜💜

Best of luck to your grand daughter. I know y’all are super proud of her and rightly so.
So, glad y’all didn’t have any issues with the last round of winter blast. It stayed way south and east of us. Our weather actually began warming up when New Orleans got buried under. I thought how bad we have it in our area that it had to be even worse for people there but it’s phenomena for those that far south to see snow. It’ll be an event they won’t soon forget.
“Cold Heart” is one I haven’t heard yet today. Thanks for joining the party and have a boogietastic week, my friend!

As the old saying goes, “We are proud as peacocks” over her accomplishment.
This has been an unusual winter. I am concerned that there will be a cold snowy spring in the Ozarks.

Nice songs and happy for your granddaughter. Just wish the A’s were still in Oakland.

Apparently, Oakland has lost all of it’s professional franchises and that is sad.

this will be an exciting time for your granddaughter and she will love it. Cold As Ice wins the popular vote. I’m not one for the pumped up version of Elton John’s song but love the originals.

I assumed Cold As Ice would appear on multiple sites today. Yes I prefer early Elton to Sir Elton myself. I saw him concert twice in the 70’s. Still I would have loved to have seen his Red Piano show in Vegas and his farewell concert in Dodger Stadium.

Congratulations again on your granddaughter getting this job and I’m wishing her much success. At least she missed that horrible storm that hit the South; I can’t believe we had less snow on our New York State ground at one point in time than Milton, Florida did! (Or, much of the South for that matter.) I have heard little of Elton John’s more recent music; this certainly doesn’t sound like his 70’s hits. Nice that he worked in lyrics from Rocket Man. Cold as Ice has become a classic. Alana ramblinwitham

The grand daughter was in town for our snow, but all was good by the time she left for Arizona. As mentioned earlier, I prefer the young Elton John to Sir Elton John, but he can still pound the sound out of a piano.
