Aww…some Monday’s Music Moves Me

Aww…some Monday

It’s National Camera Day!!! My favorite hobby is standing behind a camera and capturing images, especially of the family. This past week-end the great-grandsons were back in town and we went to a local playground with their grandparents and our granddaughter (their mom). It’s been said a thousand times by others, “A hundred years from now the only images I capture that will matter to anyone are those I captured of friends and family enjoying time spent together.” Enjoy.

It took the oldest great-grandson about 5 minutes to find two new friends.

Of course there is no substitue for having your grandpa push your swing.

Let’s see if I can spin Big Daddy in this chair!

Monday’s Music Moves Me

The theme this week at 4M involves picking a National Day and playing a song that goes along with the day. Well, I picked National Camera Day.

  1. Photography is a fabulous hobby and you do such a good job behind the camera capturing precious memories of your family. You do a great job with sports and general shots. Your passion could be a career for you if you wanted. 🙂 Fabulous song choice to go with your pictures. Thanks for joining the 4M party, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

      1. I played flute in my elementary and junior high years. I wish I kept it up. I tried the piano for a bit but gave it up after a short time. I regret having done that. I do enjoy my hobbies that I have, though.

Great photos of your family. I hope you print a couple off and frame them. It makes them extra special, in my eyes:). The song fits..nice to listen to.

Your photography talent extends to so many scenarios – family, sports, nature. It’s a marvelous talent and I thank you for sharing these precious photos with us. We both remember Kodachrome, I’m sure. I never used it but I think a lot of photographers our age still miss its vibrant colors.

    1. My nature photography is pretty much limited to birds, butterflies and flowers in the back yard. The family has little choice in the matter and sports is where the fun is for me. Back in the day there was Kodacolor, Kodachrome, and for slides there was Ectachrome. The weak link was the print paper. Now you can get archival paper that will hold the color for a century. It’s a wonderful world.
