Aww…some Monday

School days are fast approaching and for some reason a pencil sharpener in a flea market reminded of my school days.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
This is a “Whatever Music Moves You” week at 4M. I am moved by a wide variety of music genres and some days it’s hard to choose which one I want to feature here. I heard a song the other day that I had not heard in years. It prompted me to feature this legendary country artist this week. While Roger Miller wrote and recorded this song originally, Randy Travis recorded the song later and I swear it is a good as the original. Randy didn’t try to create a whole new sound, he just tried to do a classic song justice. Here we go.
Those old pencil sharpeners were the best, they really worked.
I enjoyed the music, thank you.

Mom remembers those pencil sharpeners and having to sharpen pencils before tests. That photo is a memory jogger.

Those old pencil sharpeners could be difficult to use. Sometimes, they’d eat your pencils up. lol The electric ones in later years were much nicer and even some hand held sharpeners were better.
Randy Travis has a nice voice. I enjoyed hearing his cover of “King of the Road”. 🙂 Thanks for joining the 4M party. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!
