Aww…some Monday’s Music Moves Me

Aww…some Monday -Taking Flight

A couple of weeks ago there was a technological summit sponsored by Walmart and other businesses in the area. The focus was on flight and electric powered flight in particular. However, there was an air show that featured WWII Warbirds and it was the highlight of the event. I managed to capture a few images.

Ever wonder what it would be like to climb into a “drone” and fly it? Well, electric vertical takeoff & landing vehicles are here and you can own one. They do not require a pilot license or medical release. Still you have to obey rules and regulations regarding where you can fly these things, but they do look like serious fun.

Stay tuned for additional images at a later date.

Monday’s Music Moves Me

The theme this week at 4M is “Halloween/Spooky themed songs or artists. It may be a few days early, but here we go. Have a blessed week.

You picked great songs this week. I like many of Linkin Park’s songs. Voiceplay’s video of their cover of the Devil Went Down to Georgia fit the song so well (even if I have to admit I liked the Charlie Daniel band’s original just a little better. I haven’t been to an air show or even static displays in years. I would have enjoyed the event you went to. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. VoicePlay is such a creative group with their videos.
This was the second year for the airshow that focuses on EV flight. The warbirds are here because one of the Walton grandkids owns the P51 Mustang and invites a couple of his friends in to do a few flyovers.

  2. Fabulous photos! I didn’t know you can own or fly your own drone. It sounds like The Jetson’s future has arrived!

Either I didn’t know or I just forgot that Geoff Castellucci was in Voice Play. I think it’s really interesting that we both used him in our 4M lineup this week. I definitely am going to jump over to YouTube to sample more of VP’s tracks. I love the two oldie classics you brought to the dance floor. I’ve always liked CCR and I’ve loved their version of “I Put A Spell On You”. “Spooky” is such a cool vibe. Classic IV rocks!

Have a boogietastic week, my friend. 🙂

    1. You can own your personal vertical takeoff & landing craft for around $200K. You can own a smaller, ultralite version for around $150K.

As soon as I decided to use the Spooky theme, VoicePlay came to mind and the Classics IV song was a natural. Have a blessed week.

      1. Only $200K you say…well, maybe when we win the lottery and maybe if I ever get over my fear of heights and maybe if cows ever fly then we’ll buy one! lol That’s a lot of money but some can afford such luxuries. It’s really interesting, though. I’m glad you used VoicePlay. As I said I am not sure that I knew Geoff is part of this group. I love learning about new (to me) talent! 🙂

  3. Terrific photos and how cool is that to fly your own drone? 😀 I enjoyed your playlist as well. Love the last video, featuring Geoff Castellucci. 🙂 Cathy has him featured this week too. What a voice!

  4. Apparently they are referred to as vertical takeoff & landing vehicles. The manufacturer offers a full training course as part of the purchase price, however a pilots license in not required to fly one but you would still have to know where you are not allowed to fly.

  5. Great in flight photos of the planes and electric planes. Planes can be fascinating. We will pass on flying ourselves. Mom flew for eleven years and now she has no desire to fly anywhere, she prefers to drive. Flying on her own would be scary so she will leave that up to others.

    1. There was a time when I traveled for business, but I don’t really care to deal with the airports, delays and long flights. If I can drive and have more control over my travel schedule, I am a much happier camper.
