Aww…some Monday

How did we get from this little 3 year old girl in 2003, to the young lady below in 2026? “how do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog – it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.” James 4:14 NLT And just like that, 23 years have come and gone!

She is living life large and in charge. She loves her job and the people she works around. She is enjoying every minute of every day that the good Lord has given her. We should all be this happy. Love our middle granddaughter to pieces!!!
Monday’s Music Moves Me
This is a whatever music move you week and 4. There is no theme, so we can post anything we like. Of course I have taken the liberty to do that on weeks when there was a theme for our guideline. Today I’m going to feature the group Red Clay Strays. They are a country band that plays a sound similar to combination of old school country (Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline etc.) mixed with bluegrass and a more contemporary sound. I really like what I am hearing from this group. Like many bands, they’ve been around a lot longer that you know and they are still not arena fillers, but in large clubs in Austin, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dallas/Ft. Worth and the southern belt of Georgia, Mississippi, they are well known. Give a listen. Have a blessed week.
Being able to do what you love is a wonderful thing and the best thing for a person’s physical and mental state. She is a lucky lady.

And it shows. She’s as happy as I have ever seen her. She is living the life she has dreamed of as a trainer on the professional or D1 college. She has already seen enough to know she doesn’t want to be involved in a D1 college power 5 conference.

Love the videos, but really love seeing the difference in 23 years. I’ve been here to watch her grow up, too. Excellent. I’m so proud of her.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, my friend. ♥

Looking back really drives home the message that our time here is merely a vapor.

Time is truly like sands in an hour glass. It passes faster with every year that goes by. You have a remarkable granddaughter. May God’s blessing be upon her! Thanks for the music introduction. I particularly enjoyed their last track in this set. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

I think Red Clay Strays has a unique sound in current music. They can really bring a throw back influence into the contemporary country music scene.

I tell new mothers that “they grow so fast” isn’t a cliche. Your granddaughter is living her best life and I hope she can continue to do so. This group is new to me. For some reason I liked the second half of the first two songs better than the first half, going from nice to great. The gospel choir in the first song made it so special-I love the sound of that style of music. Sometimes you just can’t figure why some groups become famous and other great bands don’t. Red Clay Strays do alright and play with some of the biggest names and events in country music. They are semi-regulars at the Ryman Auditorium and Grand Ole Opry. They’re just not an arena or stadium band…yet. I do like their sound.

Thanks for the introduction to Red Clay Strays – I’d not run across them before today! I’m off to listen to more! Thanks for the dance!

I’ve not heard of this band nor of any of the songs – so much music out there and we barely touch the surface!
