Aww…some Monday’s Music Moves Me

Aww…some Monday

I’ve been photographing things in the backyard from our covered patio recently. To me, these images represent a few of the reasons why I believe in God and the truth of Scripture. Every thing you see in these images except for the glass feeder and support were created by the God of the universe. The very first words in Scripture declare that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The first book of the Bible also informs us that God created man and woman and gave them dominion over the earth. Admittedly, mankind has done a poor job of stewardship.

Consider this, 99% of the beauty of creation goes unnoticed by humans, yet a close look at these creatures leaves no doubt that Divine design was involved. And, if the God of the universe cares enough about the details of these creatures, some of which have a lifespan of less than one month, just think how valuable you are to your Creator. Matthew 6:26 says that the birds of the air neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than they? We are created by a God who loves us more than we can understand and wants to have an eternal relationship with us. He has provided a way through Jesus Christ. All of Scripture can be filtered down to three words, Trust and Obey. It’s that simple. It may not always be easy, but it not complicated. Have a very blessed week.

Monday’s Music Moves Me

In keeping with the images and thoughts above, I will be moving back into Christian/Gospel music this week. Enjoy.

Beautiful, beautiful captures, especially the hummingbird. CeCeWinans has a wonderful voice, and one of my cousins is a big fan of MercyMe. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Hummingbirds can be difficult little critters to capture. They are quick and you have to hope the hover for a few seconds so you can capture them in the air. CeCe has a marvelous instrument of praise in that voice.

  2. We don’t usually notice the beauty of things in our day to day, but when something catches out eye we take time to really look at it and think about how pretty or special it is. Great photos of nature’s beautiful creatures.

    1. One reason I love photography is that it forces me to stop and examine the subject. I can spend a moment enjoying the beauty of Creation on display in the smallest creatures.

  4. It’s been a good couple of weeks for photography from our covered patio. Day time temps have broken 100 for a week at a time then a day or two of mid 90’s before we break the century mark again. Getting an early start and staying in the shade is the only way to photograph some of these critters. I do have to wander out to the flower bed for the butterflies.

  5. The care our Master gives to critters of the field, air, and sea is abundant and as you mentioned He cares even more for the creatures He molded in His likeness. I’m so grateful for all God’s blessings that surround me. He supplies my daily needs and frequently showers me with unexpected gifts. He is a Father who truly loves this child of His. Thank you for the beautiful message, gorgeous photos, and songs of praise today. This is a perfectly uplifting post! Have a boogietastic week, my friend. 🙂

    1. Simple but often difficult. We want to be in complete charge of our lives and we prove over and over that we’re not very good at being the masters of our own destiny.
