Aww Mondays

Lucy after “Spa Day”. She has had a bath, her hair cut, and nails trimmed. The House Princess looks and feels like a million bucks.
Local Farmers Market

Every Saturday morning the town square turns into a farmers market. The vendors are open at 7:30 a.m. and by 8:30 a.m. there are hundreds of people shopping for flowers, vegetables, jellies, even a blacksmith is turning out items for sale.

You can get your morning cup of coffee and browse the other vendors wares.
There are some lovely murals adorning the walls of buildings and a myriad of public artwork in our town these days. I will have to do a special post featuring some of the better pieces. This was my first real adventure since my knee replacement and I have been cleared to drive and resume normal activities. I am already looking forward to next week.
Monday’s Music Moves Me
This week the theme at 4M is free choice. It is no secret that I like inspirational music and the hymns of the church are at the top of my list. Recently Carrie Underwood released an album titled “My Savior”. Later today I will be purchasing this audio delight. Here are a few examples.
The first song takes me back to my youth and church camp. Falls Creek is located in southern Oklahoma and is the largest Baptist youth camp in the world. In my teens, as many as 9000 attended a six day camp and there were six sessions. One of my all time favorite hymns is a memory from Falls Creek and Carrie does the best arrangement I believe I have heard in decades. I can actually hear a little Patsy Cline influence.
