I thought I commented earlier, but I think I closed my browser before I sent it. Just as well, because I was thinking your bird (loved the capture, by the way) was a female downy woodpecker. My husband, who is a lot better at bird ID than I am, wasn’t sure but after looking through one of our bird guides just now., yes, a female downy. Again, nice capture and thank you for the entertainment.
